Common Questions

Questions and Answers

How donations work, and what cryonics means for this fundraiser.

  • How do I make a one-time donation?

Open the donation page, choose one-time, enter the amount you wish to give, and continue to secure Stripe checkout. There are no suggested amounts and no set goal, so the amount is entirely your choice.

  • Can I give every month?

Yes. The donation page offers a monthly gift with an amount you choose. Monthly donors sign in with their email first, so the gift can be managed under their account.

  • How are payments handled?

Payments go through Stripe checkout. This site never sees or stores your card details.

  • What is cryonics?

Cryonics is the practice of preserving a person at very low temperatures after legal death, in the hope that future medicine might one day offer a chance at life. Whether that will ever be possible is not established. For me it is a personal hope, not a promised outcome.

  • How is cryonics different from my current treatments?

They are two separate subjects. Cryonics is the whole-body preservation I am raising funds toward. My cryoablation treatments in Morgantown, West Virginia, freeze and remove precancerous cells in my esophageal lining through an endoscope. They are not whole-body preservation.

  • Are the gallery images real photos?

No. The storage tank images on the gallery page are generated illustrations, not photographs of a specific facility.
